PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN AND THANKSGIVING

Thanksgiving means the expression of gratitude, especially to God, in other words, Thanksgiving means giving thanks for everything you have or everything you appreciate. Most people give thanks for staying alive.

Many a time, we are always busily forgetting to appreciate or thank God or people for everything, so it is an excellent time to pause, think about everything and give thanks to everyone for everything they have done and also giving thanks to God if you are a believer.

THE ROLE OF A DEAF DANGOTE CANNOT BE OVEREMPHASIZED IN PRODUCING THE DEAF EINSTEINS, LINCOLNS

In every country, we have babies being born with above and low IQ daily. We have babies being born with the potentials to be Dangote, Wole, Bill Gate, Einstein, and whatever. But the question of how to make them be what they are supposed to be is the most critical part.

The phones that we use; the planes that we fly with; the cars that we drive in; and washing machines that we use to wash our clothes and to the point of having a rocket that explores the moon and many more were developed and done by the creative persons.

HOW TO PREVENT PROCRASTINATION IN WRITING

When I was a kid, I got to know that to delay is very dangerous and in some words, procrastination is a sin, but sadly, it happens to almost everyone in a lifetime, its something we can't avoid but its something we can deal with and also avoid.

Procrastination is the action of delaying or postponing something. Procrastination happens when we don't want to re-read after writing the first draft or being forced to re-evaluate the writing, again and again. Sometimes we might not have time to read all over the paper again because of that we avoid the uncomfortable movement, and that's when it leads to procrastination.

ARE YOU DEAF?

That question: "ARE YOU DEAF?" it could be awkward to some people and also not awkward to some people. I recall sometimes ago, when I was trying to communicate with a hearing person and along the line, I was lost because I couldn't read his lips as he was speaking fast I just said hey sorry I am Deaf, he laughed and said that he is blind too, and I was like hmmm ok, but I am serious I am Deaf, he blasted me.

WE NEED A DEAF DANGOTE

I came across the news where Dangote Foundation donated over 120 million Naira to one of the Secondary schools in Nigeria. Come on!! When someone with that huge money wants to make a difference, the sky is the limit.

The Deaf community needs a Deaf Dangote to bring a change, to make a difference with huge money in different ways. Someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to make a difference in the  Deaf education which is the most critical part. We have a long way to go, and we are praying to have one.

ENEMIES OF THE SIGN LANGUAGE ARE THE ENEMIES OF THE TRUE WELFARE OF THE DEAF!

Culled from Eye Hand Studio
To be a friend to the Deaf community, you must support sign language in one way or the other way. In 1913, George W. Veditz said: "Enemies of the sign language are enemies of the true welfare of the deaf.” Even though it was quoted in old time and yet I agree with the quote till today, its simple and truth, nothing more nothing less, if you don't support the sign language then you are an enemy of the real welfare of Deaf in general.

Before I forget, we must appreciate all sign language interpreters who took their time to learn sign language and then become interpreters for our sake as George W. Veditz's quote means that to be friends with Deaf people and support the welfare of the Deaf, you must equally support sign language. I have met almost all sign language interpreters both in Nigeria and America, they are beautiful and friendly people, they see themselves as a service to the Deaf community, as a bridge between the Deaf world and Hearing world and they even integrate themselves into Deaf world to the point that we thought they are actually Deaf, I believe it is the same case for all countries.

The good news that we also have Deaf interpreters and they are working hand in hand with general interpreters. Show your love, support our sign language and then you are our friends.
