I am sure; no one has seen a picture of Abraham Lincoln without his beards, luckily for me, I have a copy of his as you can see the picture, it is unbelievable.
As he was contesting for the president in 1860, he got a letter from a small girl named Grace Bedell advising him to grow the beards and guess what? HE DID.
Here is a copy of Grace Bedell's letter to Abraham Lincoln in 1860:
Abraham Lincoln's reply to her:
After he won the election, he met the lady and said he listened to her advise, that must be a very heart-touching story.
Grace's original letter was sold for one million dollars in 1990s, and the letter is now part of the Burton Historical Collection, its kept at the Detroit Public Library.
I promised to visit the place and have a picture of original letter soon, for now, enjoy reading a copy of letters.
