RODRIGO DUTERTE: THE LEGAL KILLER OF THE DRUG LORDS

DRUG LORD
Firstly, lets talk about the meaning of drug lord, yes I know 90% of us all know the meaning of it, but still we should define it for 10% of people, A drug lord is also a drug baron, kingpin, or narcotrafficker who is a high ranking crime boss who controls a sizable network of people involved in the illegal drug trade.

WHO IS RODRIGO DUERTE
Rodrigo Duterte is the 16th and current president of the Philippines. He is known as populist, punisher, protector and problematic. What made him so different, somebody who is a hero to the country of the Philippines is his personality. He is a no-nonsense leader.

HOW IT STARTED
It all started when he was in his final year of law school. He shot and wounded a student named Frat Brod on campus in 1972 for bullying him, with this alone; we know he didn't take any nonsense that's one of his characters.

POLITICS
He continued that way into the public sector by becoming a mayor in 1988, that's when he started getting on those drug lords, when he got there, he set up an armed vigilante group known as the Davao Death Squad and began to kill small-time drugs dealers and petty criminals and the bodies started to pile up in the streets were more than 1,400 people died.

He made history by becoming one of the country's longest serving mayors. In 2015, he campaigned that if he were elected as president he would execute 100,000 more criminals and dump their bodies in Manila Bay and he meant it.

In 2016 he eventually made it, he was elected as the president, he won the presidency in a landslide victory. He did exactly what he was going to do during his campaign, and he declared WAR ON DRUGS and immediately many people started to die in very nasty ways in the streets of the Philippines.

THE NUMBER OF DEATHS
He gave police and military permission to kill the criminals freely and promised them that they wouldn't face any charges, he said it explicitly that he will never allow any military man or police to go to jail unjustly for performing his duties.

According to the reports, more than 4,279 people were killed in police operations in Duterte's drug war, as of May 2018 more than 22,000 homicides are under investigation that was possibly linked to drugs.

HIS CAMPAIGN
The president even compared his campaign to kill drug lords to Adolf Hilter's extermination of millions of Jewish people, and he said Hilter massacred 3 million, and if there are 3 million drug addicts, he will be happy to slaughter them.

Finally, he said he wouldn't stop killing drug dealers until the end of his term.
